The master plan for the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) campus at Jodhpur is an example of how Net Zero Energy development is scalable. Presently under construction, the 860 acre campus is designed to become almost fully self-sufficient with net zero water, energy and waste by the final stage of the project in around 2025. It is hoped that the IIT-Jodhpur campus, as well as being an exemplary desert settlement, will provide a blueprint for campuses and cities worldwide, especially those in extreme climatic conditions.
Hear architect Sanjay Prakash (Owner, SHiFT) explain the concept, approach and strategies towards developing this large scale Net Zero development in this live webinar.
This webinar is part of ‘NZEB Knowledge Series’ – an initiative supported by USAID’s MAITREE program to accelerate the discussions on Net Zero Energy Buildings in India. This webinar-series will bring industry experts to share knowledge, expertise, ideas and showcase innovative products/projects/technology that can fuel discussions on building energy efficiency and grow engagement for NZEBs.
